Anthony Panza

Anthony "Tony" Panza, born on February 28, 1938, in San Pietro in Guarano, Province of Cosenza, Italy, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, in Sharpsburg, PA. He was the beloved son of the late Augustino and Rosina (Magnelli) Panza and the cherished husband of his late wife, Ruth Marks. Tony dedicated his adult life to being a steelworker at Henry Miller Spring, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. He found joy in traveling, gardening, and cooking, pursuits that brought him happiness and allowed him to share his passion with family and friends. However, nothing brought him more joy than his daughters, Lorena (Michael) Pietrone and Silvana Conroy, and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Conroy. He is survived by his stepson Robert (Kathy) Marks, his loving sister, Edda (Ramildo) Perri, and siblings Emma (John) Posa, Frank (Mary) Panza, and Josephine (Italo) Napoli. Tony was also the brother of the late Giaconda, Gina (Angelo) Rizzo, Rocco (Evelina), and Salvatore (Jean) Panza. Tony’s social spirit and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love for family and friends will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Friends received on Monday October 7, 2024 at Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ The King Parish in Madonna of Jerusalem Church on Tuesday October 8, 2024 at 10:30.
