August "Gus" Ferraro

On Saturday, October 2, 2021, age 85, of Sharpsburg. Beloved husband of the late Aurelia (Volpe) Ferraro. Loving father of Peter August Ferraro (Tammie) and Mary Grace Ferraro (Anthony Piccoli). Grandfather of Emily and Matthew Ferraro. Brother of Fernando Ferraro (Georgie), Anna Marie Goncar (the late Dave), and the late Pietro Ferraro (surviving Maria) and Mario Ferraro, Sr. (surviving Grace). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gus was a lifelong member of the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Department. He will be especially missed by his 17th St. neighborhood. Friends received 1-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at Worrell Funeral Home, Inc., Sharpsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ The King Parish in Madonna of Jerusalem Church on Wednesday at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Roots of Faith, Second Harvest Community Thrift Store, or the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Department.
