Carol "Babe" Gradkowski, a cherished member of the Sharpsburg community, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born on January 2, 1942. Carol is preceded in death by her mother and father Francis and John Przeracki and sister Geraldine (Bucky) Yester and leaving a legacy through her brother Jack (Lois) Praski, daughters Carla Duerr and Anita Scuticchio and son Dean (Rene Direnna) Scuticchio, and grand-children RJ Duerr, Max Duerr and Christian Scuticchio. 


Carol dedicated her career to the Northern Area Multi-Service Center of Allegheny County, where she served at the Sharpsburg Senior Center until her retirement. Her unwavering commitment to her work and the seniors she served was a reflection of her caring nature and generous spirit.


Her love for animals, especially cats, was well-known among her friends and family. Carol often adopted her feline companions from Animal Friends, providing them with a loving home and devoted care.
