Carol (Baker) Grumbaugh

Carol (Baker) Grumbaugh, 49, of Sharpsburg, PA passed peacefully on May 11th, 2024, after a brave battle with brain cancer.  Survived by her loving parents, Frederick and Jacqueline Baker of Lawrenceville; her incredible children, Abigail (Cory) Nichols and Regis (Sarah) Grumbaugh; Mimi to her prides and joy, Brody Baker, Graham Frederick, Vivianne James Nichols, and August James Grumbaugh, who will all be loved eternally. Survived by the most wonderful siblings; Frederick M, Heidi and Kelly Baker;  Aunt of Louis, Paige and Adrianna Warneke; Kylie Jordan, Brandon Jordan, Hunter and Alexandra Blackwell, and Jennifer and Nicole Blackwell. Also survived by former spouse, Regis Grumbaugh, and sisters-in-law, Cynthia Blackwell and Gina Grumbaugh,  Moyers of Cincinnati, Schultz’s and Aitkens of Sharpsburg, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Carol is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Esther (Augustine) Nicholson, Frederick Baker, Helen (Costello) Lamb, aunt Verna Keag, and former mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joanne and Regis Grumbaugh. 

Carol served as a storekeeper in the U.S. Navy Supply Department in the mid-90’s, most notably in Adak, Alaska. She was a 20 year employee of the late Attorney Rolf Patberg, and continued her career with Sean Carmody and Terry Ging, both of whom were like brothers to her until the end.  Thank you to her dear friends Kathy, Jen T,  Nicolena, Megan, and her beloved boyfriend, Alex.
