Edward F. Thompson

On Monday, October 3rd, 2022, age 86, of Shaler Twp. Son of the late Eleanor Reese and Feree Thompson. Husband of the late Shirley Thompson, of Patton, PA. Father of Melissa Thompson, of Altoona, PA., and the late Charles "Charlie" and Michael "Micky" Thompson. Stepfather of Gary, Chester, Patty, and Linda. Grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brother of Arlene Kurtz. He leaves behind many nephews and a niece, along with the "greats". Ed was a member of the American Legion, where he enjoyed the company of many friends.  Friends received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm, WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., Sharpsburg. A service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, Sharpsburg on Wednesday at 11 am in the mausoleum. Everyone please meet at the mausoleum.
