Elizabeth A. Szwedko

February 4, 1947 — October 10, 2021

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Szwedko, age 74, of Ebonhurst Rd, Allison Park passed
peacefully into the Lord's arms October 10, 2021 at North Hills Promedica
ManorCare after a brief illness.
Betty was born in Sharpsburg, PA on February 4, 1947 to Leo and Helen (Daniel)
Dembowski-Drabicki, who proceeded her in death. Also proceeding her in death,
nephew Stephen Viale, step-father Walter Drabicki, and former husband Jerome
"Jerry" Szwedko.
Betty was generous with her time and supported many organizations. She loved
music, especially Jimmy Buffett, dancing, friend get-togethers, reading, watching
golf, attending outdoor concerts at Hartwood Acres, following Nied's Hotel Band
and dining out. Betty, a graduate of Fox Chapel high school, lived in Salem, Ohio
after she married, spending winters in Florida. She lived in Cleveland, Ohio for a
period of time, then returned back to O'Hara Township to care for her mother
and step-father.
She is survived by her son Travis Szwedko of Salem, Ohio; two sisters, Connie
(Dembowski) Viale of Glenshaw and Christine Drabicki (Edward Ostry) of
Sagamore Hills, Ohio. Also surviving are niece and nephews, Melissa (Tim) Balzer,
Marty (Donna), Michael (Gina) and Matthew (Christy), their children and dear
friend Marsha.
Friends received from 1-3 pm at Worrell Funeral Home, 820 Main Street,
Sharpsburg, PA on Saturday, October 16, 2021. A Blessing Service will be held at 2:30 pm. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to McGuire Memorial Home, 2119 Mercer Road, New Brighton, PA
15066 or mcguirememorial.org.
