Genivive Frances Mitchell

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, age 10, of Scottdale, PA. Beloved daughter of her Mummy, Jessica Mitchell. Granddaughter of the late Karoline Frances Boyd. Niece of Aaron Metheney (Jennifer). Cousin to Cydney Metheney and Lincoln Metheney. Niece of Lyla Mitchell. Genivive was very stylish, especially with her fancy hairbows. She also loved her Barbie dolls. Genivive impacted so many lives, and taught others that special-needs people are just like everybody else. Her Mummy would like to thank Carol May from the Division of Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care at UPMC Children's Hospital, Lindsay, Denise, Coleen, Gwen, Janalee, Shaina, Patrick, and Dr. Zack of the Intensive Care Unit at UPMC Children's Hospital, Penny Casella of UPMC Healthplan, and her devoted friend Michele Witkowski. 

Friends received Friday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg (820 Main St., Pittsburgh, PA 15215). A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 7pm.
