Gregory M. Yerkins

Gregory Yerkins, 63 years of age, passed on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. He was diagnosed with MS in 2007 at the age of 45 and fought the disease courageously over the last 18 years. He was born November 24, 1961 in Pittsburgh to the late Bud Yerkins and Shirley (Labate) Yerkins. He is survived by two sons, Justin and Griffin. Also survived by his sister Linda Cassini, brother Charles Johnston, and many nieces and nephews. He was an avid Steelers fan. He lived in Las Vegas for over 20 years as a slot technician in the gaming industry, as well as cruise ships around the world. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, helping others and happy go lucky spirit! He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. Friends received Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg.
