Inez M. Pilarski

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Inez Pilarski (of Sharpsburg), became our Christmas Angel on December 24, 2024. She passed peacefully with her eldest daughter, Karen, by her side. She was 93.

Inez was the heart of our family and home. She was married for 62 years to her soulmate, Joseph, who preceded her in death. She will be forever missed by her children, Karen Pilarski-Pastor, Keith (Deceased - 2023), Sandi (Rich) Aluise and Glenn (Lisa).

She was the adored grandmother of Angela (Steve) Glew, Tiffany Pastor, Mark Pilarski, Sara (William) Krause and Jessica Pilarski. Cherished great-grandmother of seven (Brayden, Cavin, Zachary, Jacob, Kain, Damien, Katelynn) with an eighth due in July, 2025. In addition to her husband and son, Inez was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jason and Shannon Kindler.

She will be lovingly remembered for her generosity, kind spirit and unconditional love. Inez retired from Thrift Drug in 1992, as the payroll supervisor. She was a devoted lifetime member of St. Mary’s Church (Sharpsburg, PA) with Christmas being her most cherished time to attend mass, as the church’s seasonal decor was her favorite. 

Per Inez’s wishes there will be no visitation and interment will be private.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a Memorial Mass to celebrate Inez’s life at Christ The King Parish in St. Mary Church (Sharpsburg) on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 10 am. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Inez’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, 875 Greentree Rd., Suite 700, Seven Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
