Joann Krzewinski, age 79, of Shaler Township passed away suddenly at home. Born June 23, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Daughter of the late John Blaze and Stefanja “Stella” (Przeracki) Kulkowski. Also preceded in death by her brother Stanley (Irma) Kulkowski, and nephew Ray Kulkowski. Survived by her husband of 59 years Alexander Krzewinski; Children Brenda (Peter) Maruhnich, Castle Shannon, Pa, Alexander (Irene) Krzewinski III, New Kensington, Pa, and Michael (Dee) Krzewinski of Springdale, Pa. Grandmother to Michael (Trista) Duris, Jonathan Krzewinski, Kylie Krzewinski, and Katie Krzewinski, and great grandchildren, her brother Raymond Kulkowski and nieces Margaret Kulkowski, Jennifer (Kevin) Novess, and Amy (Ron) Heasley, along with grand nephews, cousins and friends. In her life she was a school bus driver for ABC Transit for 17 years driving children to school and after school activities. She especially enjoyed taking the Shaler High School golf team to their competitions. She worked at Eat n Park for 30 years prior to that serving many generations and enjoying conversations with her guests. She loved to read and do genealogy research on her family and loved ones sharing the past with future generations. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, going to the local bingo game in support of her neighborhood volunteer fire department, going to their plays and musicals and their hockey games. She enjoyed going out with her husband to dinner and to visit the local casino to try her luck at slots, and any time the football game was on you could find her cheering on her favorite team the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joann was a wonderful, fun, loving and caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend with a huge generous heart who will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday and Thursday at Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg, 820 Main St., Pittsburgh, PA 15215. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ The King Parish in St. Mary Church, 210 Garnier St., Pittsburgh, PA 15215, on Friday at 10:00 am. Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, O'Hara Township.
