John Dean Compton

Age 67, of Pittsburgh PA, formerly of Shadyside PA, passed peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Loving father of Sarah (John) Maudhuit, Kara Compton, and Nicole Compton ; proud pap pap of Taylor, Blake, Brooke, Olivia and Kaiden ; reunited in heaven with his son, John Jr., parents William and Ann (O'Leary) Compton; and siblings Robert Compton, Lynn Nedz, William Compton Jr., and Dianne Wirkowski; John was an avid Rolling Stones fan and served in the U.S. Navy. Friends received Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm in SLATER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC. SHARPSBURG, (412-782-2211), 820 Main Street, Sharpsburg, 15215. A Blessing Service will be held at 3:45 pm followed by US Navy funeral honors.
