On Saturday, January 6, 2024, age 98, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Sharpsburg. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy LaCava, his son Chip LaCava, Jr., and a grandson. He is survived by his daughter Noreen Groce (Bill), his daughter-in-law Gennie Walker, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Friends received Wednesday 2-8pm at Slater Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. Sharpsburg. Burial will take place at Mount Royal Cemetery on Thursday at 11am. In lieu of flowers family requests donations to Chapters Health Foundation, www.chaptershealth.org/give/donate.
