Shirley (Suprano) LaCava

On Saturday, June 17, 2023, age 82, of Shaler Twp., after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Rocco LaCava. Loving sister of Marcella Haushalter. Predeceased by her father, Mumbrie Suprano; her mother and stepfather, Elizabeth "Betty" and John Green; her sister, Sandy; and her brother John Green, Jr. Shirley enjoyed a fabulous career as a buyer for Kaufmann's and later, Macy's, department stores. She and Rocco retired over 25 years ago and spent the last 25 winters golfing and enjoying the company of their friends in Bradenton, Florida. Shirley will be missed by her nieces and nephews, many friends, and godchildren. Friends received Friday 4-8pm SLATER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES OF SHARPSBURG, (412-782-2211), 820 Main Street, Sharpsburg, 15215. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ The King Parish in Madonna of Jerusalem Church on Saturday at 10am. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to www.stjude.org.
